In our family we take our wellness pretty seriously and we use a plant-based holistic approach to it. I’ve talked about essential oils and Young Living on here before and we use many of their products in our daily wellness routine because we have noticed such a big difference since using them. We also do a range of other things in addition to using specific products to help give our bodies that extra boost. Below I’ll be sharing all of the products/activities that we use daily to keep ourselves above the wellness line.
Water, water, water!
Water is SO important to our bodies and getting the right amount of water each day (2L is recommended) makes a HUGE difference in our overall wellness. I start each day with a full glass of water before eating anything and try to drink a glass regularly during the day. Let’s face it though we don’t always remember to drink enough water throughout the day, BUT I find that it helps to actually fill a water bottle and take it around with me all day so that I remember to drink up.
I take this every single morning and I have to say, I LOVE this stuff! It’s a B vitamin so it gives me the extra boost of energy that I need to get through the day with an active baby and makes me feel GOOD. If I’m having a hectic morning and forget to take my Super B, I can feel the difference and tend to get tired and worn out so easily throughout the day. If I had to recommend only one must-have supplement, this would be it.
This is our daily probiotic that helps promote healthy digestion, support gut health, and maintain normal intestinal function. YES PLEASE!
We drink 2oz of this drink every day to help provide an abundance of nutrients to our body. It contains whole Ningxia wolfberry puree plus other fruits and extracts that contain a ton of nutrients and antioxidants. It also gives an amazing energy boost (we sometimes make a mocktail of this + gingerale on ice and have it as our afternoon pick-me-up) that helps get us through the day.
I love using essential oils to support our bodies and when it comes to immune support there’s no question. We make a roller containing Thieves blend, Lemon, Oregano, and Frankincense essential oils topped with a carrier oil and rub it down our spine every night (at least we try to remember every night) to help boost our natural defenses. If we are feeling under the weather then we use it more often throughout the day, and we’ve noticed great results.
I’ll be honest, ever since I got pregnant and gave birth to Mia I haven’t been the most active. I used to go to the gym 3X a week and was very dedicated to staying active and keeping my body fit, and I am currently trying to get back into that routine. I’m actually trying to make daily yoga a part of my wellness routine to help my body get back into shape.
We plan out our meals each week and try to make sure we are incorporating a healthy balance of all the food groups and eating lots of fruits and veggies. BUT I also quite enjoy indulging in all of the delicious things that may or may not be the healthiest options. Since we make a conscious effort to eat balanced on a daily basis, we allow ourselves to indulge in other things in moderation.
So far I’ve talked about things that impact our physical wellness, but mental wellness is just as important and so I try to incorporate this into my daily routine as well. I do daily devotionals each morning and take time for self-reflection and me-time each evening after Mia is in bed. I’m also working towards making journaling and meditation a part of my routine.
Real talk guys, I’m not perfect and life is hectic so I definitely don’t remember to do every single one of these things every day, BUT I do try to do most of them daily to keep up with our wellness and keep ourselves feeling GOOD. If you’re interested in trying any of the Young Living products mentioned above you can order here or reach out to me with any questions.
